During the program, representatives of the Association used the opportunity to conduct an inspect of the school grounds, existing and ongoing projects, and also interact with the students and staff in various areas they require our assistance.
Also to celebrate the Anniversary, The National Alumni on Wednesday 24th January, 2024, organized their RealTalk Mentoring Program for the students which focused on Drug Abuse. The Association partnered with Menitos Charity Foundation under their War Against Child Abuse and Drug Abuse (WACANDA) initiative and NDLEA (Agege Command) to speak with our sisters not just to say no to drugs but letting them understand the reason why they should say no, thus building self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth for a chance of a better tomorrow.
Celebrations continued on Saturday the 27th of January, 2024, with the National Alumni Annual General Meeting, Family Fun Day and Market Expo.
During the AGM, the audited accounts for the Association since inception i.e. 2019 up till December 2023 were presented with specific focus on 2022 and 2023 financial years.
Our Family Fun Day had lots of activities for members and their families, especially the children who enjoyed the bouncy castle and slides at the park. There was a lot to eat and drink from our vendors namely, Impeccable Foods, Abbyz Delites Foods, Hateem Foods, Beaubox Cakes and KidsPlayHaven.
Thank you.
